As VSStÖ, we have been campaigning for free menstrual products at the JKU for years. From motions at university representation meetings to discussions with decision-makers. Many other universities are already funding the provision of menstrual products, and the JKU is finally following suit in the 2024 summer semester! From now on, the university will have a budget for menstrual products, but these will still have to be distributed by the ÖH. At our suggestion, dispensers were also installed in some of the toilets to ensure the hygienic distribution of the items. 🌹
