We finally want a fair teaching degree!
The 2024 teacher training reform was the first attempt by the government to prioritize education again and to change key aspects of teacher training. Even though important changes have been implemented, we as VSStÖ see many missed opportunities. As representation of all student teachers in Austria we in the ÖH not only want to point out problems in the the current teacher training program, but also to find solutions that improve study conditions and make make education fairer. In addition to fair fair remuneration for internships and a curriculum that really prepares us for our future profession, there also needs to be clear financial relief for us student teachers.
