At JKU, we are active on your behalf in the student councils, faculty councils, university council, ÖH departments, and the senate chair! We provide services and advice to help you in your everyday student life. In addition, we are also your mouthpiece and represent your interests in university committees and in politics. Because one thing is clear: we care about you!

We want a JKU that is there for us students. As VSStÖ, it is important to us that the university asks itself how we students will benefit from every change. We students are the focus of this university and not just mass-produced goods that roll off the assembly line in five years.

Above all, it is important to us that everyone who wants to study can do so, not just those who can afford it. Students should not be hindered in their studies by difficulties in credit transfer or lengthy chains of prerequisites.

We also want JKU to be modern and dynamic, whether in teaching, research, or campus development. The beautification of the campus is already a step in the right direction. However, there is still work to be done. It is not just a matter of constructing new buildings, but rather of expanding modern teaching, learning spaces that are always accessible, alternative solutions for construction sites, public transportation that is free and reasonable for all students, and, on the whole, financial aid that finally makes it possible to study!
